Every person is born creative. Children dance before they walk; sing before they talk; and draw before they write. So often the process of growing up squelches the artist-child within. So, how can we recover that creative spirit?
I did not come from a family of artists, writers, or musicians. I had no idea that a writer was a real profession and not just a pipe-dream. What changed my perception? My first relationship with a working writer. It’s hard to find such mentorship outside the ivory tower of universities, but it doesn’t have to be.
The Creative Recovery Mentorship is a series of one-on-one meetings that take place weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, as is appropriate for your goals and schedule. In them we can discuss:
- Creative blocks. We’ll work together to uncover your limiting beliefs. What keeps you from making work and what’s needed to get you back to the desk/easel/piano?
- Creative process. We’ll work together to find the method of creating that works for you and your lifestyle.
- Creative accountability. We’ll work together to set deadlines and provide accountability.
- Creative emergence. We’ll work together to get your work into the world.
Creative Recovery sessions are appropriate for creatives of all types (writers, painters, musicians, etc.) at every stage of their creative life. The process begins with an initial consultation. Afterwards, you can go forward with a minimum commitment of four sessions. Creative recovery work can feel risky. The commitment to four sessions is a commitment to yourself and your own creativity.
Initial consultation (1.5 hours), Investment $85.00*
Subsequent sessions (1 hour), Investment $65.00*
